The human body evolved to function well within a specific environment, including in terms of what we ate, how we moved and the way we lived. In these natural conditions our body thrives, self-regulating toward optimal health and vitality. Starting 150 years ago, we initiated a series of dramatic and rapid lifestyle changes that our body is incapable of adapting to, making us collectively unwell in the process. To get better, we need to undo these changes. That’s it.

MY STORY
Understanding health and vitality in today’s world is a frustrating challenge. We are bombarded with a constant and contradictory stream of information, opinions, and advice. We try to assess the credibility of each claim and piece together our current "best view" on how to shape our lifestyle to remain fit and healthy.
The problem, however, is that we are failing. At a societal level, we witness alarming rates of chronic lifestyle diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, stroke, obesity and cancer. At the individual level, we struggle to keep our promises to eat healthier, exercise more often and manage our stress. And even if we are doing pretty well today, we wonder if we are on the right path to maintain our long-term health and well-being.

In other words, despite all the research, new findings and endless advice, we appear collectively confused and heading in the wrong direction. It clearly begs the question: What the heck is going on? The Revival Health Platform is the result of my personal fascination with that question and a multi-year investigative journey deep into the science to make sense of it all. To figure out, to the extent possible, what are the real factors causing these health challenges and, more importantly, what we can proactively and confidently do as individuals to achieve lifelong health & vitality.
My 30-year academic and professional career has been dedicated to investigating and applying rigorous analytical approaches to solve complex, sloppy real-world problems, precisely what is required for the surprisingly contentious fields of nutrition, movement and mind.
My objective with the Revival Health Platform: To unlock the science for you, packaging up the learnings in a clear, fun and convincing manner that will provide you with enough knowledge and inspiration to make some permanently positive changes in your life.
